Thousands of Visitors Flock to TMII

Thousands of people flocked to a tourist attraction, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) cultural park in East Jakarta, Wednesday (12/25).

Our target is more than 20,000 on Christmas and 35,000 on New Year's Eve

TMII began to be crowded with visitors since morning to enjoy all the rides, starting from cable cars, electric buses, as well as taking a selfie at several regional pavilions.

TMII Public Relations Section Head, Novera Mayang expressed the number of visitors this Christmas holiday was predicted to increase 100 percent compared to normal days which is only 10,000 people. That means, it would increase up to 20,000 on the Christmas holiday.

Until 2 PM, more than 12.000 people had visited the TMII and was predicted to be increased until this night.

"Our target is more than 20,000 on Christmas and 35,000 on New Year's Eve," she explained.

One of visitors from Bekasi, West Java, Mira (26), admitted that she chose TMII as its location was close and entry ticket was cheap.

"I take my family to visit TMII. The place has changed a lot, it is cleaner and tidier," she admitted.

They enjoyed several platforms and rides, such as Keong Mas Imax Theater, Insect Park, Komodo, Bird Park, Transportation Museum, and Space Museum.
